Rob Wood Uses Rotary Charity Fundraisers to Raise Funds for the Fraja Ellie Appeal
By raising funds for the Fraja Ellie Appeal through Rotary Charity Fundraisers triathlete Rob Wood ensures the 'good cause' receives the benefit of Gift Aid on qualifying donations.
Fraja is a really happy, funny and very loving little girl. She has been diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer called Neuroblastoma with MYCN amplification which places her in the very high risk category. Sadly around 80% of children with Neuroblastoma will relapse and there is currently no UK relapse protocol. However, there are options available abroad. Unfortunately these treatments could cost in excess of £500,000. The Fraja Ellie Appeal has been set up so that Fraja can immediately receive the treatment should she suffers a relapse.
Rob Wood is currently serving with 90 Signals Unit based at RAF Leeming. To raise funds he has signed up to undertake the challenge of the Ironman Wales [2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run]. To ‘warm up’ he will be competing in several other endurance events around the country including the London Marathon, Newby Hall Triathlon, Outlaw Triathlon as well as two events as a ‘warm down’ the Sandman and Snowman Triathlons in North Wales.
He and his team of willing volunteers will be collecting at all the events as well as online. To donate go to:
